The PSOGI 2023 Congress will take place at the Palazzo del Cinema (Movie Palace) in Venice.
Venice is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Venice, one of the most attractive destinations in the world, is a floating city, built on 118 islands in the Venetian Lagoon. Venice is a major international centre for higher education, and it hosts, among others, the prestigious Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Venice is easily accessible through the international network of air, road and railway connections.

BY TRAIN

From the Venice S. Lucia train station, continue by vaporetto to Lido (Actv lines, stops: Lido S. Maria Elisabetta and/or Lido Casinò).

BY CAR

Venice highway exit, follow signs for Venice-Lido, boarding Ferry Boat / Actv ferry.

Hourly you can find the Ferry that takes you directly to the lido with a cost ranging from EUR 17, depending on the size of the car.

BY PLANE

From Marco Polo Airport it is possible to reach Lido in several ways:

  • Road cabs: in 15 minutes you get to Piazzale Roma, the fare is around 30 euros (radiotaxi Mestre tel. +39-041-936222). From Piazzale Roma you can continue by ACTV waterbuses lines 1,52,62. www.actv.it
  • Water cabs: represent perhaps the fastest way to get to Lido-about 20 minutes-but a ride can run up to 55-80 euros
  • ATVO shuttle bus: connects the Airport directly to Piazzale Roma in 20 minutes, with regular departures every half hour. The cost of the ticket is 3 euros and includes luggage transport. For detailed information on ATVO bus schedules, you can consult the ATVO website at www.atvo.it
  • Bus ACTV: This is a scheduled bus (Number 5) and therefore makes several intermediate stops before arriving at Piazzale Roma . The route takes about 30 minutes, the cost of the ticket is : 2.50 euros, excluding the transport of luggage, for which an additional ticket must be paid: for each suitcase there is a fee equal to that applied to the passenger.From Piazzale Roma you can continue with the ACTV waterbuses lines 1, 52, 62.
  • Motoscafi Alilaguna Blue and Red Line: this is a service of private motorboats backed by ACTV’s network of landings, which take you directly from the airport to Venice, stopping at the city’s nerve centers. The service-much more convenient than private cabs. The Alilaguna Blue and Red lines run the service hourly.
